getting started
open menu › vessel details and choose the name and boat other vessels will see.
tap 16, 68, 72, gather, or online to open it. write in the message field, then tap transmit.
active means the nearby radio is ready. alert means something new is waiting; tap it to open the newest item. linked means another vessel is in range. the selected lower button shows where you are.
nearby radio
16: tap a nearby vessel to hail it, then message that vessel directly. hold the audio button while speaking and release to send.
if a vessel you have messaged before is away, jmgi can hold a text for up to 24 hours and pass it along when a route appears. audio sends only while that vessel is connected.
68: type a message or hold the audio button to send to every linked vessel nearby.
72: leave a public message for nearby and passing vessels. do not post anything private.
private fleets
tap online to open private fleets. open a fleet, or tap new and choose who to invite. the fleet's admiral can also share an invite link.
write a message, then use add for media, a file, a link, pasted content, or audio. attachments wait in the draft until you tap transmit.
long press a message to reply or open its actions. tap an attachment button to open it.
gather
tap gather for radio silence or nearby trivia. one device hosts and the others join.
for trivia, the host chooses the harbor mix or enters a topic when available, starts each question, and controls the clock and scoring. questions can be wrong.
captain's log
open menu › captain's log to write, edit, or delete your own notes.
passage
open menu › passage, choose a voyage, vessel, month, and stores, then depart.
choose one order each watch. read the next report, check the chart and supplies, then choose again. ports offer repairs, care, work, and provisions when available.
your passage saves automatically and works offline. nearby assistance is optional.
settings and message actions
long press a message or vessel for reply, copy, block, report, and other available actions. blocked senders can be restored in settings.
open menu › settings to choose alerts, adjust squelch, or clear local messages and captain's log notes.

jmgi is not an emergency service. use a real marine radio and local emergency services when help is needed. avoid private or precise-location details on 72.
